GOALS: This Term I've set 3 different goals for each subjects which are; Reading, Writing and Numeracy. I have tried to achieve these goals by using helpful strategies. I know always setting a Goal is important so that we can become good at something.
Numeracy goal: The Numeracy goal that I set this Term was to try and work out Mathematical Sums in my head without using any materials. What I done to help me achieve this goal is to try and visualis the sum in my head and then see if I got it right. I don't think I've achieved this goal because when I was trying to work out a Fraction number pattern I had to sometimes draw the picture because It was difficult for me to try and visualise it in my head. I hope next Term I would be able to achieve my Numeracy goal Espically since I haven't achieved this one.
Reading Goal: My Reading Goal that I set this Term was to try and add more expression into my reading so that other people would be inspired to listen to me read and enjoy it. The Strategy I used to help me achieve this goal was to Read Aloud and hear myself trying to achieve this goal. I believe I've achieved this goal because every time in Reading when we read independently I always whisper to myself what I'm reading and try and hear if I'm adding enough expression.
Writing Goal: My Writing Goal that I set this Term was to try and not add Past and Present words into my Writings orelse it won't make sense. I had trouble with this because I wasn't sure went to use a past and Present in my Writing. So the Strategy I used was to let two of my friends correct my work after I write and see if I made any mistakes. I think that I've also achieved this goal because now I know when to use Present and Past words properly.
Future Goals:
Reading Goal: Always asking Wuestions in my head bout the book I'm reading. A strategy that can help me to improve this goal is whenever I come up with a question I would have to write it down and see if those questions will help me with the book I'm reading.
Writing Goal: Try and add more detail into my Writing Pieces so people who read it can understand what I'm trying to talk about. The Strategy that can help me achieve this Goal is when someone has finished correcting my work I'll ask them if I have put enough detail so that someone who reads it understands it perfectly.
Numeracy Goal: My Numeracy Goal is to use different startegies when I try to work out a worded problem. A couple os Stratgies that can help me improve on my Goals is by doing more practice than I usually do or ask Miss Mattiacci if she can write 3 worded problems that I can take for extra homework eachnight.
Personal Goal: Always put up my hand in class to answer something that Miss Mattiacci has asked. A Strategy I know that can help me achieve this Goal is to Have a go, Have and educated Guess or just say what pops up in my head.
